City council permits Snuneymuxw affordable housing building in Chase River
An affordable housing project proposed for south Nanaimo by Snuneymuxw First Nation has been approved for a building permit.
The project proposal for a six-storey, 42-unit building at 1435 Cranberry Ave. came before city council Monday, Dec. 1.
The building, sited across the street from Nanaimo Fire Rescue Station 4, will provide six studio, 14 one-bedroom, 11 two-bedroom and 11 three-bedroom units ranging in size from 410-970 square feet. The project is a partnership between Snuneymuxw and the
