BC Wildfire Service prepared for busy day in Cariboo Fire Centre

The BC Wildfire Service is gearing up for what it predicts will be a busy day on the Pear Lake wildfire as an unstable weather system is expected to roll into the Cariboo Fire Centre.
On Friday, Aug. 7, BCWS issued an update on the fire, which remains the largest in the Cariboo at 132,598 hectares as of Friday morning. They stated that today is expected to be an active day as the high-pressure system that has kept conditions smoky with light winds is expected to break down.
