BC Hydro issues public safety notice for increased flows within Campbell River’s Elk Falls Canyon

BC Hydro is asking visitors to Campbell River’s Elk Falls to take extra care in the coming weeks.
This is the time of year for increased flows within Elk Falls Canyon to accommodate salmon migration and spawning.Elk Falls is a natural barrier to fish passage.The water flow in the canyon will increase from about five cubic meters per second to about 8 cubic meters per second during the migration flows.
