3 Okanagan governments have water protection work recognized at UBCM

The work being done to protect the primary water source in Lake Country and Vernon was recognized at the Union of BC Municipalities (UBCM) Community Excellence Awards ceremony on Sept. 15.
The North Aberdeen Plateau Wildfire and Watershed Resilience Initiative, which is a collaborative effort between The Okanagan Indian Band (OKIB), Regional District of North Okanagan (RDNO) and District of Lake Country, received the Presidents Committee Choice Award at UBCM.
