2 lightning-caused Southern Vancouver Island wildfires declared out

Wildfire crews made short work of two lightning-caused fires in Greater Victoria.
By the end of Sunday (July 26), both wildfires in Langford and Sooke were declared out by BC Wildfire Service.
The small wildfire in Goldstream Provincial Park was first discovered Thursday (July 23) evening, with wildfire crews and aviation resources responding. It was reported as being 0.009 hectares in size.
