You won't be driving over the new Champlain Bridge this year

The new Champlain Bridge is slowly coming together in October 2018.
Signature on the St. Lawrence, the private consortium responsible for building the new Champlain Bridge, confirmed this morning that the opening of the bridge, scheduled for Dec. 21, has been put off for at least six months.
Half a year ago, in April, the consortium and federal government promised the bridge would be opened to traffic by Dec. 21.
