Would-be thieves crashed a vehicle into a Montreal business but fled empty-handed

In what appears to be an attempt at theft, a van was driven into a business in Montreal’s Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough Friday night.The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. at a Grosbois St. caterer.According to the owners, nothing has been stolen, but material damage is significant.The perpetrators were probably looking for money. They fled the scene with the same van. The police are still searching for them.
