Wine: Quebec’s thirst for sauvignon blanc started with Kim Crawford

I remember when Kim Crawford’s sauvignon blanc first arrived in Quebec about 12 years ago. For those of us brought up on the French interpretation of the grape, it was a bit of a shock. But as reported by Ottawa-based journalist Marc André Gagnon on his site VinQuebec, it has become a top selling wine in the province.
Its popularity has helped put both New Zealand’s Marlborough region, and the sauvignon blanc grape, on more shopping lists.
