While you were sleeping: fire at CN Tower, plaque removed from The Bay

Firefighters were called in early Wednesday to extinguish a fire at the highest point of Canada’s tallest building.
Fire broke out in the antenna mast of Toronto’s CN tower in the early hours of Wednesday.
A fire chief at the scene said a tar-like substance was burning. Crews evacuated the building and shut down the electricity on the communications tower.
A commemorative plaque of a Confederate leader was removed from the historic Hudson’s Bay store downtown.
The plaque honour
