What people are hearing at Montreal's inaugural Formula E weekend

You might have heard concerns and complaints about Montreal’s inaugural 2017 Formula E race, but what do the actual e-cars sound like this weekend, July 29 and 30? 
While Formula E cars sound nowhere near as loud as a Formula 1 car’s famous ear-blasting buzz, yes, you can hear the racers as they rip along 2.75 kilometres of Montreal streets.
The cars give off “a modern, futuristic sound,” as described by the official Formula E website.
