Weather warning: Montreal to face thunderstorms, possible hail

Environment Canada has issued a weather alert for the island of Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, and Châteauguay. It says that a cold front moving across Quebec this afternoon will generate thunderstorms in those regions.
There is, moreover, a risk of small hail that the agency described as “1 centimetre in diameter.”
“These storms are below severe limits but could still cause inconvenience locally,” Environment Canada said.
