Few places embody Montreal’s ethos more than Bizarde hair salon.
Dating back to its opening as Coupe Bizzarre in 1986, the salon has been edgy, but in a warm and accessible way.
Yannick Ross first visited the salon in 1990. He has now worked there as a hairdresser for 17 years and has customers ranging from two to 81 years old.
“It seemed like a place full of free, creative, alternative people,” he says.
