Walkout threat widens as more school bus drivers vote for strike mandates

One day after the 330-member union representing Transco school bus drivers voted to go on unlimited strike if necessary, negotiations with other drivers’ unions seemed in danger on Thursday of also skidding off the road, with drivers in Longueuil, Laval, Sainte-Julie, Vaudreuil-Dorion and Dorval all voting for strike mandates.
This time the drivers are part of the Teamsters union affiliated with the Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Quebec.
