Updated: Quebec dentists begin their split from public health care system

Quebec’s association of dental surgeons on Thursday officially filed the paperwork which will see 2,000 of its members withdraw from the province’s public health care system.
The notices were delivered to the offices of the Régie de l’assurance-maladie du Québec (RAMQ) and to that of premier Philippe Couillard. However the withdrawal from that sector will not begin for another 30 days.
