Update: Public transit, Bixi bikes will be free during Formula E weekend

Buses, the métro and Bixi bikes will be free this weekend, Montreal Mayor Denis Coderre announced Wednesday.
He was speaking at a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the site of the Formula E event, which is expected to cause traffic difficulties in downtown on its two race days, Saturday and Sunday.
Due to the many extra road closures and parking restrictions, city officials have been urging Montrealers to take public transit or bikes to reach the event.
