Update: PQ’s Lisée deflects friendly fire over migrant comments
SAINT-EUSTACHE — Parti Québécois leader Jean-François Lisée is not backing down from his controversial comments on immigrants despite a friendly fire rebuke from his own ranks.
Instead, he deflected the criticism and insisted the real guilty parties are Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Premier Philippe Couillard for misleading Haitian asylum seekers into believing they would get a free ticket into Canada.
