Update: Peel St. reopened after police investigate 'suspicious package'

Commuters whose route includes Peel St. were detoured Friday morning as Montreal police verify what they describe as a “suspicious package” found on the thoroughfare between St. Catherine St. and De Maisonneuve Blvd. The street was reopened by midmorning.
The perimeter, which police say was precautionary, had shut down the block to all motorized and pedestrian traffic and closed the Peel St. exit of the Cours Mont-Royal, which is used by many commuters exiting the Peel métro s
