Update: Man dies after being shot by Montreal police

Many of the occupants of a subsidized housing block in the Gay Village where a man was shot dead by Montreal police Tuesday night live alone and suffer from mental illness, a neighbour says.
Area residents were reacting Wednesday morning to the shooting death of a man in apparent distress in an apartment of the building at Robillard Ave. and St-André St.
