Update: Environment Canada issues severe thunderstorm warning for Montreal area

Environment Canada has upgraded the severe thunderstorm watch for Montreal and surrounding areas to a warning.
At 2:44 p.m., the agency said Montreal, Laval, Châteauguay and Longueuil were affected by the watch.
At 4:22 p.m., the warning was issued for most of those same areas. Châteauguay was no longer included.
Environment Canada said the storm could produce strong gusts of wind, hail and heavy rain. 
“Take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches. Large
