Update: Bloc Québécois blows up as seven of 10 MPs quit caucus

The Bloc Québécois, once the official opposition in the House of Commons, was reduced on Wednesday to a three-seat caucus after seven of its MPs resigned from the party in protest over the leadership of Martine Ouellet.
However, even as she expressed disappointment over the departures, Ouellet said she has no intention of stepping down and called for a mediated settlement with the dissident MPs.
