Unionized Quebec daycare workers ready for 6-day work stoppage

The threat of a strike is hanging over more than 400 unionized Quebec daycare centres after more than 11,000 workers voted 94 per cent in favour of a six-day walkout to be carried out on a date that has yet to be determined.
The unionized workers, represented by the CSN, have been without a contract since March 2015 and while non-monetary issues have for the most part been settled, negotiations have stalled over the the issues of salaries, pension plans, group insurance and child-daycare worker
