Unaware of collusion in Laval, Tony Accurso testifies

Antonio Accurso told a jury the presidents of two of his companies flat out denied they were even aware that the city of Laval had a system of collusion for the awarding of infrastructure contracts.
The construction magnate testified in his own defence at the Laval courthouse Tuesday.
Accurso faces five charges related to a system of corruption run by former mayor Gilles Vaillancourt and other city officials.
Claude Asselin, the city’s former director general, has pleaded guilty in the cas
