Uber Quebec general manager Jean-Nicolas Guillemette resigns

After more than four years as the face of Uber in Quebec, Jean-Nicolas Guillemette has decided to leave his job as general manager, citing family reasons.
The 35-year-old father of three said Tuesday that he wanted to devote the next few months to his “role as a father.”
Guillemette was a very public figure in the debate that led to a pilot project that legalized the ride-hailing service. That pilot project has been extended for another year to fall 2019.
