Two Solitudes: Kahnawake Pow Wow

Catherine Mathys and I want to use journalism to bridge cultural divides.
On this episode of Two Solitudes, we visited the Kahnawake Pow Wow — an event that began as a way to honour the Mohawk resistance to the Canadian Forces during the 1990 Oka Crisis.
The Pow Wow also celebrates Indigenous culture and brings together people from Montreal and its suburbs with their Mohawk neighbours. It welcomes First Nations from across North America for a weekend of dancing, home cooking and fun.
