Two in critical condition after accident in St-Laurent parking lot

A woman of about 40 and a five-year-old child were reported in critical condition after being hit by a car at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday as they were walking in the parking lot of a shopping centre at Côte-Vertu Blvd. and Montpellier St. in St-Laurent.
The driver, a man of about 80, was not injured.
The woman and child were taken to a hospital by ambulance after witnesses called 911.
Montreal police cordoned off the area to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
