TSB blames seaman's death near Trois-Rivières on 'inadequate work procedures'
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada has concluded that a foreign crew member on a cargo vessel who drowned after falling overboard in the St. Lawrence River in Trois-Rivières, was using unsuitable equipment and following inadequate work procedures.
The disappearance of the third officer on the Dutch cargo ship Amazoneborg was reported to the Sûreté du Québec on Nov. 29, 2017, while the ship was docked at a port in Trois-Rivières.
