Tomas Plekanec returns to the Canadiens as a free agent

Tomas Plekanec is coming back to the Canadiens.
The Canadiens announced shortly after the NHL free-agent sweepstakes opened at noon Sunday that Plekanec has agreed to terms on a one-year contract worth US$2.25 million with the possibility of earning another $1.25 million in bonuses.
