Thousands march in family-friendly anti-racism protest

Thousands of protesters marched through downtown Montreal streets Sunday afternoon to denounce the extreme right, racism and the Quebec government’s religious neutrality law, which forces veiled women to show their faces to receive public services.
The anti-racism protest, called the Grande Manifestation contre la haine et le racisme, or, Large Demonstration Against Hate and Racism, is began at 2 p.m. at Place Émilie-Gamelin.
