The latest Liberal snub: Marguerite Blais chooses CAQ for comeback
QUEBEC – Former Liberal cabinet minister Marguerite Blais will be a candidate in the October election.
But this time she will be running for the Coalition Avenir Québec, sources confirmed Tuesday.
In a fresh snub for Premier Philippe Couillard’s Liberals who are struggling to hand on to incumbent candidates — 14 Liberals have chosen to not run again — Blais is to jump ship and run for the competing CAQ.
