Teachers who already wear religious garb could sidestep ban, CAQ suggests

QUEBEC — The Coalition Avenir Québec is not backing down on its plans to bar authority figures like judges and police officers from wearing religious symbols.
But for the first time it has floated the idea that teachers might be allowed to keep their garb because the government could consider those acquired rights.
