STM quietly killing off its mobile application

The Société de transport de Montréal is killing off its mobile application, saying the work is better left to third-party developers.
Staring Feb. 1, the STM app, which works for iOs and Android devices, will no longer be supported, the transit corporation said on its website. The app can be used for trip planning and to find out bus and métro schedules.
It cost $25,000 to produce the initial version of the app in 2010, and it has been downloaded a total of 250,000 ti
