Stars Above: July cosmic sprinkles and stars

Now that we are entering the peak of summer with warm weather the starry heavens are filled with celestial treasures sure to delight skywatchers.
The brightest planets in the solar system offer up great views, while stars line up with Earth’s lone natural companion in some amazing sky shows throughout July.
Riding high in the southern sky the ringed planet Saturn dominates the evenings and on July 6 look for it to be joined by the waxing gibbous moon. To the naked eye the gas giant looks l
