Sûreté du Québec plans speeding crackdown over Grand Prix weekend

As tens of thousands of racing fans gather in Montreal in anticipation of Sunday’s high speed Grand Prix on the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, the Sûreté du Québec announced on Friday the start of a province-wide crackdown on excessive speed on Quebec highways.
The SQ warned that motorists can expect to see an increased police presence on the roads as the campaign continues through to June 15, and reminded drivers that excessive speed remains one of the main causes of accid
