Speeding Montreal driver loses right to drive for seven days
If Life in the Fast Lane, as the Eagles’ song says, will “surely make you lose your mind,” then a Montreal driver has forfeited some of that and a whole lot more.
On Thursday morning at 8:30, police clocked a car speeding at 108 kilometres per hour in a 50 km zone in Ville-St-Laurent. The consequences? The driver was fined $869 and received 10 demerit points along with a licence suspension for seven days — effective immediately.
