Researchers document surge in unhoused deaths in Quebec

New data from the Université de Sherbrooke shows that deaths among unhoused people went up by about 180 per cent between 2020 and 2024 in Quebec.Prior to the project, no data had been compiled on how many unhoused people die each year in the province.
