Remembering legendary hockey writer Red Fisher

Legendary hockey writer Red Fisher passed away Jan. 19. He was 91.
Fisher covered the Canadiens from 1955 to 2012, as the team won 17 Stanley Cups. Along the way, Fisher won three National Newspaper Awards. He was awarded the Order of Canada less than a month before his death.
The Saturday following his death, a moment of silence was held at the Bell Centre in his honour. A tribute to Fisher was set up that night at his old spot in the Canadiens’ press box.
