Regular pregnancy tests for mother who pleaded guilty to infanticide
A Montreal mother who pleaded guilty to killing her newborn child has been sentenced to 20 months of house arrest followed by three years of probation.
In what her lawyer described as a first in Canada, she has also been ordered to take a pregnancy test every six months and submit the results to her supervising officer while under house arrest. She will need to do the same for the three following years.
