RAMQ medicare cards will be produced by SAAQ in 2018

The Régie de l’assurance maladie du Québec (RAMQ) has announced that by 2018 it will soon use the Société de l’assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ) to produce its health insurance cards.The RAMQ says it produces 2.3 million cards every year. Its production system’s service contract will soon end.The demand for cards will drop by half in 2018, as medicare cards become valid for eight years instead of four.
