Racetrack driver killed in Drummondville crash

MONTREAL — A driver died on Saturday night in a stock car race at Autodrome Drummond racetrack in Drummondville.In a statement released Saturday night, Autodrome officials confirmed Guy Ouellette’s death. The driver died in a serious accident during the final of the Sportsman category.Ouellette was struck by another vehicle and the impact weighed several tonnes.Rescue forceps were used to remove the victim from the crash site.Organizers ended the evening of races right away.
