Quebec's plan to launch digital 'health booklets' for patients raises concerns

Quebecers will soon be able to view their latest blood tests and other lab results online when the provincial government launches digital “health booklets” next spring, Health Minister Gaétan Barrette announced on Monday.
But the province’s medical archivists reacted with skepticism, warning that the government is rushing to post medical records on the internet without considering all possible factors — from patient confidentiality to gaps in health information.
