Quebec's face-covering law: Mixed reactions from federal MPs

OTTAWA — Some Ottawa Liberals have voiced their disapproval of Quebec’s new state neutrality law, which came into effect on Wednesday. 
Quebec MP Alexandra Mendès went so far as to say that Ottawa will have to intervene because she “strongly doubts” the law is consistent with the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
