Quebecers with rare cancers given fresh hope with new university network

Quebec is launching an inter-university network to improve the survival rate of patients struck by rare, often fatal cancers.
Every year, 500 Quebecers get a diagnosis of a deadly musculoskeletal sarcoma, a rare cancer developing from connective tissues — muscles, fat, bones, the lining of joints, and blood vessels.
However, it takes an average of 66 weeks for such patients to line up an appointment with a surgeon. By then, it’s often too late. The cancer has spread and requires
