Quebec-wide campfire ban lifted

Quebec’s Ministry of Forests, Wildlife and Parks has lifted a province-wide ban on campfires.
The ministry said Monday campfires are now allowed across the province, reversing the ban that had been in effect since last Friday. The decision was effective as of 2:30 p.m.
According to the Société de protection des fôrets contre le feu (SOPFEU), Quebec has seen 452 forest fires this year — significantly higher compared to the 10 year average of 316 fires by this time
