Quebec takes another step toward regulating illegal schools

QUEBEC — The province will move to better patrol clandestine religious schools and to ensure children without citizenship or residence’s status or in precarious family situations have access to an education.
Education Minister Sébastien Proulx Friday moved on a promise to toughen laws tracking students living on the fringe of the conventional education system to ensure they don’t fall through the cracks.
