Quebec says it won't join national securities regulator

The Quebec government will not join the new Canada-wide securities regulator approved by the country’s highest court on Friday.
“We understand the decision made by the Supreme Court of Canada, but we intend to keep our autonomy and our expertise in Quebec,” new Quebec Finance Minister Éric Girard said in a statement.
