Quebec rodeos violated animal protection laws: report

An examination of videos of 20 rodeos held in Montreal and St-Tite last summer concludes they were illegal and a report to that effect has been filed with the provincial agriculture ministry’s committee on rodeos.
The report was made public on Wednesday by Université de Montréal law professor Alain Roy, who last summer filed a request for an injunction to stop a rodeo staged as part of Montreal’s 375th anniversary celebrations.
