Quebec nursing crisis is out of control, professional order says
The Quebec nursing crisis is so dire that some nurses have reported themselves to their own professional order, saying they can no longer uphold the norms of their profession, Ordre des infirmières president Lucie Tremblay said on Monday.
During a press conference, Tremblay, whose professional organization has 75,000 members, said that requests to investigate the quality of care and resources are increasing, and represent about half the inquiries launched by the order’s syndic.
