Quebec injecting extra $8.6 million into health care

The Quebec government is injecting an additional $8.6 million into the health-care system between now and March 31, Health and Social Services Minister Gaétan Barrette announced Sunday.
The non-recurring amount will “meet the growing needs of the population and reduce waiting times” by facilitating access to surgery, diagnostic tests and certain cardiology services, Barrette said at a news conference in Montreal.
