Quebec election: Québec solidaire vows to clean up corruption

Québec solidaire promises to take steps to clean up corruption in the province if the party is elected on Oct. 1.
The party says it would change the way the leaders of Quebec’s anti-corruption unit and the Sûreté du Québec are selected.
Within the first 100 days of a mandate, Québec solidaire would change the rules so that future leaders are chosen by members of the National Assembly, co-spokesperson Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois said Monday.
