Quebec doctors broadcast rare cardiac procedure to educate fellow doctors

Warning: This video contains imagery of a surgical procedure.Dr. Raja Hatem is one of the few cardiologists in Canada qualified to perform chronic total occlusion angioplasty (CTO), an ultra-specialized procedure that repairs blocked arteries without open-chest surgery. The Quebec cardiologist, along with fellow doctors, broadcasted a live procedure from Montreal’s Sacré-Cœur Hospital to share their knowledge with 150 cardiologists nationwide.
